SharePoint Saturday 2009 - Birmingham
SPSBham2009
SharePoint Saturday provides a place for architects, developers, and other professionals that work with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server to meet and discuss SharePoint oriented ideas and topics.

Bit-Wizards, a leader in the southeast SharePoint community, was a Gold sponsor of the SharePoint Saturday Birmingham. We were happy to support an event that helps promote education on the technology. In addition to sponsoring the event, eight team members from Bit-Wizards attended including three speakers.
SharePoint Saturday kicked off Friday night with the speaker’s dinner. The entire Bit-Wizards team was invited to attend by the event organizer, TekSouth. The dinner provided an opportunity to network with other SharePoint specialists in a variety of fields. Some of the dinner discussions covered pitfalls and difficulties of the past as well as cool new features coming out in SharePoint 2010.
SharePoint Saturday Birmingham kicked off nicely on Saturday morning with 129 registered participants. At the Bit-Wizards booth, the event t-shirts were a hot item while team members fielded questions from other participants.

Bit-Wizards team members attended various sessions throughout the day based on their expertise and interests. With the level 100 (beginner) to level 400 (expert) sessions, it was tough to go wrong with any of the sessions. Three members from Bit-Wizards gave presentations on their respective areas of expertise.
