Climbing the rankings for a third year in a row, Bit-Wizards, a 12-year-old Fort Walton Beach software company, has been named to Florida Trend’s list of Florida’s Best Companies to Work For 2012. By continually improving and refining processes and benefits, Bit-Wizards has steadily risen in the list’s rankings from number 9 in 2010, and number 7 in 2011, to number 2 on the 2012 list. And despite the economic downturns of the past few years, Bit-Wizards continues to grow and hire new team members.
The fourth annual edition of Florida Trend’s Florida's Best Companies to Work For focuses on hiring practices of the state's top employers recognizing 100 companies in small, midsized, and large categories. To be considered for participation, companies or government entities had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and be at least a year old.

To make the Florida's Best Places to Work For 2012 list, Bit-Wizards underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. Then, each team member at Bit-Wizards participated in the survey anonymously by responding to 72 statements on a five-point agreement scale. Questions focused on themes like leadership, planning, culture, role satisfaction, training, pay, benefits and work environment. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. The Florida's Best Companies to Work For program was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council.
The Florida’s Best Companies To Work For 2012 recognition is the latest in a long list of accolades Bit-Wizards has received over the past few years. In addition to making Inc. Magazine’s list of fastest-growing private companies for 3 years in a row, Bit-Wizards was named to the inaugural class of GrowFL’s Florida Companies to Watch in 2011 and has garnered 5 ADDY® awards since 2010.
