Bit-Wizards Custom Software Solutions is quickly emerging as the premier custom software development and consulting firm on the Emerald Coast of Florida. It all started in late 1997 as an idea on a napkin at children's birthday party at Chucky Cheese Pizza in Fort Walton Beach. The founders Louis Erickson and Vincent Mayfield wanted to build a company where innovation and creativity would flourish while adhering to proven engineering methods that provided quality within the schedule and budget allotted. Over the next few years, founders Vince and Louis conducted detailed planning on the creation and eventual operation of Bit-Wizards. In February of 2000 Bit-Wizards was incorporated in Austin Texas where it landed its first contract with Cook-Hurlbert, Inc., a leading national commercial application software provider for the power and utilities industry.

After a year of growth and success in the thriving high-tech technology center of Austin, Texas, Bit-Wizards decided to move their operations to the Emerald Coast of Florida and plant its roots. Having grown up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the Bit-Wizards founders Vince and Louis were keenly aware of the opportunity and potential in Northwest Florida. With the great resources of Northwest Florida, they knew that the Emerald Coast could become a leading information technology center. In the spirit of Silicon Valley of California and Silicon Hills of Austin Texas, Bit-Wizards wants to help build the Emerald Coast into Silicon Beach. In January of 2001 Bit -Wizards returned to Northwest Florida and reincorporated as a Florida Corporation. Bit-Wizards first opened an office in Shalimar in June 2001.

Later in 2006, as Bit-Wizards Custom Software Solutions staff numbers grew, the company moved to a bigger building in Fort  Walton Beach, Florida.

The company has been very successful and prides itself on being highly responsive to customer needs and its ability to react to changing project conditions and customer needs.
